Appendix A. The XML 1.0 Recommendation (Second Edition)

This appendix lists the W3C XML 1.0 recommendation (second edition) from www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml, and was written by the authors listed at the end of the appendix. It is a W3C recommendation. Note that formal syntax of XML is given using a simple Extended Backus-Naur Form notation (EBNF). This notation is explained in Section 6 of the appendix.
