Chapter Summary

Believe it or not, we're done with this the longest chapter thus far. We've learned about:

  • Joining a Windows client to a domain

  • Client Management through Group Policy Objects

  • Client Management through Logon Scripts

  • Client Management through Roaming Profiles

  • Installation of Microsoft Windows via RIS

  • Keeping clients current with SUS

Up to this point, we've learned about a single domain (guinea.pig) with a single domain controller (dc01.guinea.pig). In Chapter 5, we learn how to work with multiple domains, multiple domain controllers, and the various roles that domain controllers play in a multiple domain scenario. We also learn about groups of domains called forests.
