5.16 What's Next ?

We will continue to work with interfaces and inheritance throughout the book. We will further our understanding of these concepts as we start working closely with classes in Chapter 7 and see many examples of the design work covered in this chapter.

In the next chapter, we will investigate a few different integrated development environments for Java. There are a great number of such products, some free and some very expensive. They can undermine newcomers with their complexity and general fussiness ”but they can reap wonderful benefits for the prepared developer.
