Aligning objects


Your layout will be easier to read and look more professional if you vertically or horizontally align fields, labels, and groups of fields as much as possible.

To align objects

1.

Switch to Layout mode ( in Windows, on the Mac), then select the objects you want to align by holding down and clicking on them with your cursor.

2.

Click one of the alignment buttons in the Arrange toolbar (top, Figure 12.10). The selected objects are realigned based on your choice (bottom, Figure 12.10).

Tip

  • If you don't want to bother with the Arrange toolbar, you can choose Arrange > Align and choose from the submenu (Figure 12.11).
