Changing the general layout setup

Use this to change how layout columns print and to change a layout's page margins.

To change the general layout setup

1.

In our example, the labels are printing down the page instead of across (Figure 11.28). Pick the layout you want to change by selecting it via the pop-down menu.

2.

Choose Layouts > Layout Setup.

3.

Within the Layout Setup dialog box click the Printing tab. In our example, the Down first radio button is selected (top, Figure 11.29). To change the orientation, select the Across first button (bottom, Figure 11.29).

Tips

  • Select Use fixed page margins and use the four number-entry boxes if you want to use different margins from your printer's default settings.

  • Use the Facing pages checkbox if you'll be printing on both sides of the page. This places the narrower, inside margin on the left of odd-numbered pages and on the right of even-numbered pages.
