Chapter Overview

Now that you have a general understanding of the partitioning solutions available on HP's high-end servers, we try to provide some guidance on how to best take advantage of these technologies. As with any technology, some features of each of these solutions are useful to only a small number of potential customers. This chapter focuses on the key features that virtually every customer will want to take advantage ofthe sweet spots, if you will.

This chapter is broken down into separate sections for each of the technologies. Additional sections cover interesting combinations of partitions and how independent software vendors support the different types of partitioning.
