It's important to remember that PostNuke does provide a way to include static XHTML in your website. Browse to your site's Blocks Administration screen and you can create the Core/HTML block. This simple block can actually become quite powerful when used creatively in your site. PostNuke blocks are traditionally thought of as side functionality, but you can also use any block as main content for a page. You can use modules like Xanthia, AutoTheme, or BlockHome to allow you to create and position customized block areas for your pages. Simply set a block to the center of your page. With AutoTheme, you can even create a special page template that does not call default module content. Define a custom module type inside AutoTheme that has specialized options for each page you want to create. The URL options can be completely different from the module's normal content, so all of your standard modules will work normally. When the special options are used with the URL, however, the custom page template is used and your core HTML block is displayed as main page content. |
