HTTP Headers

Visiting a web page is a lot like a conversation. Your browser initiates a discussion by asking to connect via an HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) request. When the server accepts, the client requests information, which the server then accepts, processes, and uses to process the request and then return the requested data in a web page-all via HTTP header requests. Fortunately, the client automatically transmits most of the data the server needs to see in the HTTP header in the form of server variables. These variables pass the IP address, the type of information requested, and any form content; query variables; and so on. The particular method used to pass all this header information depends on the scripting language you use.
