While support for hardware can be hit-or- miss with Fedora Core, Red Hat maintains lists of hardware that has been certified to work with RHEL4 systems. On the commercial software side, Red Hat maintains a catalog of several hundred certified software vendors whose products will run on RHEL systems. This vendor list includes several partner companies, such as Oracle, IBM, BEA Systems, Veritas Software, and Sybase.
