Once you understand what all the parts of its interface do, you'll soon find that Dreamweaver is an invaluable application for creating and maintaining Web sites.

In this chapter, you'll learn about the Dreamweaver Start Page and document window. Then you'll see the plethora of toolbars included with the software: the menu bar, the Insert Bar, the Document toolbar, the Style Rendering bar, and the Standard bar. The Status bar, Property Inspector, and panels are next , and then you'll learn about the included workspace layouts, and how to set up your own custom workspace. Finally, there's a summary of the new features in Dreamweaver 8.
