On the Mac, you enter investment transactions using the Investment Actions window. This lists all of the possible investment transactions.
Choose Activities > Investment Actions. The Investment Actions window appears. Double-click the investment action you want, and the associated action form appears.
1. | Choose the investment account from the Account pop-up menu. |
2. | Enter the transaction date. |
3. | Enter the number of shares you bought. |
4. | Choose the security you want to purchase from the pop-up menu next to Of . This menu lists all the securities you have previously bought. If you are buying a security that is new to your portfolio, Quicken will walk you through a quick Wizard to add the new security. |
5. | Enter the share price in the At field. |
6. | Enter the Commission amount. Quicken calculates the Total Cost . |
7. | Use the Source of Funds pop-up menu to specify where the money for the purchase is coming from. |
8. | If you like, add a Memo . |
9. | Click Record to save your transaction. |
