Get EasyAnswers

Quicken provides a few different ways to get reports. A good way to find quick answers to your financial questions is through EasyAnswer reports , which answer basic questions such as "Where did I spend my money?" and "What are my investments worth?"

On Windows, choose Reports > EasyAnswer Reports and Graphs. The Reports and Graphs window appears, set to the EasyAnswer tab.

There are ten preconfigured reports in the form of basic questions in the window. Click to select one of them. Depending on which question you choose, the expense category and report dates pop-up menus may change. The report dates menu contains preset time periods for reports.

To get a report, click the report question you want answered , then choose the report date period from the pop-up menu. If the report you chose allows you to select a category, the expense category pop-up menu will appear. Choose the category you want. Click Show Report.

You can change the dates the report covers by choosing from the Date Range menu at the top of the report window. The Interval menu shows you subtotals for time periods; for example, you can see your expenses by Year, Month, Quarter, and so forth.

To get an EasyAnswer report on the Mac, click the Reporting tab, then click the Reports button in the toolbar. The Reports window appears. The report appears, set to the EasyAnswer tab.

Click to select the question you want answered, then choose the date range from the pop-up menu. If you picked a question that requires it, choose a category from the pop-up menu next to the question to narrow your report. Click Create. A new window appears with your selected report.
