Chapter 14. Creating Custom Themes

 < Day Day Up >

Now that you are comfortable creating slides, presentations, and master slides in Keynote using Apple's themes, you are probably going to want to try creating your own themes. A custom theme allows you to brand your presentation as your own, and provides the audience with an experience that is unique to your presentation.

All the tools you need to assemble a custom theme are provided within Keynote. You may find, though, that you want to create some of your theme graphics in another application with better graphics capabilities, such as Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks, OmniGraffle, PowerPoint, or Adobe Illustrator.

In this chapter, you'll learn how to use Keynote—in combination with other graphics programs—to create and save your own custom Keynote themes.
