Starting Keynote for the first time will require a brief registration process—then you can jump right into creating presentations.
1. | Open your Applications folder, then open the iWork folder. |
2. | Double-click the Keynote application icon ( Figure 1.4 ). The program launches. |
3. | The first time you use either of the iWork programs, you'll be asked to fill out a short registration form. |
4. | Fill out the form, then click Register Now. Keynote connects to the Internet and sends your registration information to Apple. |
5. | An untitled document appears, and the Theme Chooser asks you to select a theme for your presentation ( Figure 1.5 ). |
6. | Select a theme from the theme thumbnails, make a choice from the Slide Size pop-up menu, and click Choose. Keynote builds the theme and prepares the first slide for editing. You'll find more information about selecting themes and creating presentations in Chapter 2. |
