Exporting to PowerPoint

 < Day Day Up >

It's quite easy to export your Keynote pre sentations as PowerPoint documents. But because there are differences between the two programs, you won't get quite the same results in PowerPoint ( especially on Windows) as you get in Keynote. Some graphics may be resized, some text may need a bit of adjusting in PowerPoint, and because some of Keynote's transitions do not exist in PowerPoint, they will be converted into different transitions.

To export a Keynote file in PowerPoint format

1.
Choose File > Export.

A sheet will slide down from the top of the document window asking you to select a format for the export ( Figure 10.8 ).

2.
Click the PowerPoint radio button, then click Next.

A sheet appears asking you to name the exported file and specify its location ( Figure 10.9 ).

3.
Name the file, navigate to where you want to save it, then click Export.

Keynote exports the file ( Figure 10.10 ).

Tip

  • You'll find information about exporting Keynote files to the other export formats in Chapter 12.
