Saving the Page

When you re ready to save your Web site, choose Save from the File menu. If you had opened the page from Tasks view, a shortcut box appears, asking whether you want to mark the task as completed. If you do, click Yes. If you plan to work more on the task later, click No.

Note

Because the wizard generates the pages, and names them so that each link refers to the correct page file, you do not specify a new name during the Save procedure, as you would when saving other application files. It s important that the home page is named index.htm and the additional main pages keep their original names .

Okay, now you ve been through the process of creating a Web site with FrontPage. Hopefully it was easier than you thought. This chapter has touched on the basic instructions for creating a site. You continue the process in Chapter 20, FrontPage Special Tasks, where you learn how to add some bells and whistles, and then you ll publish the site to the Web in Chapter 21, Publishing Your Pages.
