A2.2 Compiler Directives

The measurement process is applied only to post-processed C code. The C preprocessor will be invoked before any measurement will occur. The rationale behind this is that we wish to measure the source code as it will be compiled for execution on the machine. That is, the source code presented to the measurement process will be the same code that will execute at runtime. A list of compiler directives can be found in the "Definitions" section.
