If you want to try using Fit right now, this chapter will help you get started. However, if you want to first know more about using Fit for testing, you may want to skip this chapter and the next one and come back to them later. We cover how to create Fit tests in a spreadsheet and how to run Fit on them. We'll then see how to run collections of tests (test suites), organized in folders. We'll then cover how to create Fit tables with HTML (Hypertext Markup Language). FitNesse is another approach to creating, editing, and running Fit tables, as covered in Chapter 8. Custom test data formats may also be handled, as discussed for programmers in Chapter 39. We don't discuss installing Fit and related tools in this chapter. Setup information for programmers is covered in Chapter 26. |
