26.5. Other Ways to Run Tests

Following are other approaches to running Fit tables.

• FitNesse, as introduced in Chapter 8, with technical information provided in Chapter 27.

• When testing a Web server, it can be convenient to include extra servlets, or java ServerPages (JSPs), that run the tests on the server itself and provide the Fit report as a result.

• Ward's Wiki Runner. See the Fit Web site at http://fit.c2.com for details of wiki tables and Wiki Runner. See [LC01] for details of wiki.

• Using other test formats. Other test formats can be converted into HTML first or directly into the internal format, Parse. We leave the details of the latter for programmers until Chapter 39.
