The BigAdmin System Administration Portal

BigAdmin is Sun's resource and community website for Solaris administrators. During the installation of earlier versions of Solaris, the installer sees a browser with BigAdmin as its home page while installation proceeds. BigAdmin's Web Start wizards let you install software on your system during your installation or at a later time.

To learn more about Solaris or to get help from expert users, you should make BigAdmin one of your first visits. You can find BigAdmin, shown in Figure 19.8, at www.sun.com/bigadmin/.

Among BigAdmin's offerings are links to discussion and newsgroups, documentation, lists of FAQs, information about current patches, freeware and shareware, additional Sun software packages, and service and training.
