The net amount of foreign investments in Israel in 1995 reached a record $2 billion. More than 150 foreign companies have invested in R&D in Israel and the country has signed bi-national industrial cooperation agreements in R&D, with countries including the United States, Canada, France, the Netherlands, Spain, and Hungary.
