Munich's potent government-initiated innovation infrastructure, numerous initiatives to create an entrepreneurship culture, as well as its traditional technological diversity have enabled the region to gain critical mass in the global Innovation Economy. Whether Munich will eventually manage to better exploit its large intellectual potential, creating international success stories and ultimately attracting the best highly skilled workers from all over the world, may depend on how fast the new entrepreneurship culture takes hold and on the degree to which federal legislation supports the process of regional development.
