3.3 Application patterns

Application patterns for Application Integration can be broadly categorized as either Process-focused or Data-focused. These two categories enable different types of integration functionality.

The focus of this redbook is Application patterns for Process-focused Application Integration. In particular the Serial Process and Parallel Process application patterns and their Workflow variants are explored. A brief overview of the other Application Integration patterns is provided.
