The material in this chapter is just the tip of the iceberg. The remainder of the book will show detailed examples of each namespace, but this is the only time you’ll get to see all of these namespaces in one place. Consequently, you’ll want to spend time familiarizing yourself with each of the namespaces before you move to the next chapter. In addition, make sure you mark this chapter as an overall reference.

Chapter 3 is the last overview chapter. It presents some of the most common security errors gathered from newsgroups, trade magazines, and personal experience. Each of the sections presents a potential trap and tells how you can avoid it. Once you complete Chapter 3, you’ll have a better understanding of why some things in the .NET Framework are set up in a certain way. Chapter 3 also discusses a few things that Microsoft could have done better and when these issues can cause problems in your programming efforts.
