Removing Template Markup

From time to time, you'll find that you've made mistakes when building a template. Maybe template markup was inserted, and now, for some reason or another, you want to remove it. Fortunately, Dreamweaver makes removing template markup just as easy as it was to insert it. To accomplish this, a couple of methods for removing template markup exist. First, you can open the template page, switch to Code view, and manually remove the template markup code. Second, and by far the easiest, is to use the Modify, Templates, Remove Template Markup option.

To remove template markup from a page, follow these steps:

1.

Open the template page.

2.

Place your cursor near the region whose markup you'd like to remove.

3.

Choose Modify, Templates, Remove Template Markup.

Notice that the initial text contained in the region remains while the template markup is removed.
