Renaming a Presentation

To rename a PowerPoint presentation, select it in the Open dialog box and choose Tools, Rename. PowerPoint converts the filename to an edit box in which you can overwrite it, as shown in Figure 2.15.

NOTE

There are three other ways to rename a file. The first way is to right-click it and choose Rename from the menu that appears. The second way is to just click on the file's name (not its icon), wait a second, and click on it again. The third way is to click the file and press F2. In all ways, the next step is to type a new name for the file.
