Things to Remember

To enhance the sound of a voiceover narration, try using EQ, Reverb, PitchShifter, and, if appropriate, Delay. With each of these effects, you can save and load your own custom presets or try a few of the presets provided as a means of exploring the various possible adjustments to be made. A lot of what goes into making a voiceover file sound better is finding a few detailed effects or a particular pattern of effects to apply. Once you do this a couple of times, you will have a pretty good idea of where to go and what to adjust the next time around.

Adobe Audition is far superior and focused in filtering and audio effects processing. You can reference the Audition integration lession in Chapter 12 to understand how much farther you can take your audio files with Audition.

I hope this lesson gave you a little epiphany regarding audio effectsnot only how to organize audio within tracks, but also how to decide when to use a clip effect or a track effect.
