Using Message Threading in a Folder


When you use message threading, you can view the whole history of messages and replies behind a particular message. Message threading has many uses. You can follow workflow as it develops and see the development of collaboration. You can also go back and review certain steps in a long process. Figure 5.8 shows message threading.

Follow these steps to enable message threading in a folder:

  1. Open a folder by clicking it.

  2. Click View, Display Settings, Discussion Threads.

Now you see all the messages and their replies in a particular folder.

TIP

Message threading is particularly useful when viewing discussions in a shared folder. Shared folders were discussed earlier in this chapter, and discussions are covered in Chapter 8 .
