Visual Studio .NET ToolbarsThe toolbars within Visual Studio .NET are logically organized by the functions they perform. You can view a list of all the available toolbars by right-clicking the area along the top of the IDE. Some toolbars automatically appear whenever you open a corresponding file or object within the IDE. You can change the appearance and add new toolbar buttons by selecting Tools, Customize. Within the Customize dialog, you can create your own custom toolbars by clicking on the New button. A blank toolbar appears, ready for you to add buttons. To add a new toolbar button, click on the Commands tab within the Customize toolbox. Commands are grouped according to their category, and selecting a category displays the list of associated commands. After finding the command you want, simply drag and drop it from the Command tab to the toolbar that you want to place it on. You can also add buttons to the toolbars defined by the IDE. Visual Studio .NET features a macro-processing facility used for extensibility. You can assign these macros to toolbar buttons . To see the list of defined macros, select the Macros category. |
