19.0 Introduction

Assemblies are the basic units into which managed code is packaged. An assembly can contain one or more files of executable code or resources (modules), and additionally can be associated with one or more satellite assemblies, which contain culture-specific resources. In this chapter, we cover common tasks involving the creation of assemblies and the extraction of information from them.
