18. Open IssuesThis section of the specification deals with issues that have arisen from the requirements activity, but have not been resolved yet. When you are probing around the user's business, questions often come to the surface, and they cannot for the moment be answered. Similarly, as you are gathering the requirements for a future product, it may well be that your stakeholders are unsure of how the work should be done in the future.
Changes happen all the time, and some of them are certain to affect your product. The Open Issues section of the requirements specification may also contain notes on changes that have been proposed, but whose final outcome is not yet established.
