To create an Internet connection, we'll use Windows XP's New Connection Wizard. Be sure you have the account information given to you by your Internet service provider at hand. Creating a dial-up connection is easy, but creating a high-speed connection, such as DSL or cable modem, is much less obvious; windows refers to DSL as a broadband modem connection. When you click Finish, the wizard disappears and your Internet connection is complete. You're now ready to hook up to the Internet. |
