Create a Shortcut

You may not want the side pane hidden all of the time; you may need it for viewing some folders and not for others. While you can't specify this setting for different folders, you can make it easy to open the Folder Options dialog. You'll create a shortcut.

You'll now find a Folder Options icon on the Desktop. When you double click it, the Folder Options dialog box will open. For easy access, drag it to the Quick Launch area of the Taskbar.
