It is time to put all of the planning and talk about what will be done into action. At this point in the process, it is time to actually have things done. Equipment should be delivered, installed, removed, and so on. Software installations, training, and so on should take place. It all comes together here. Frequent communications to the organization to build up interest and understanding of the new system should be made by the Project Sponsor and Executive Stakeholder at this point. It is time to announce this effort and its success to the rest of the organization. Also, it is a good time to single out top performers for rewards and recognition and laud the team for coming to this point. This is a high-water mark and a great milestone for your organization, so do not make the mistake of underselling its importance.
