The purpose of this document is to communicate to the appropriate Marketing Communications organization all of the information required to develop a Marketing Communications (MARCOM) Plan. The information provided by the Project Manager in this document should include the following data:

  • Barriers to success

  • Business objective (refer to the POS)

  • Distribution process

  • Distribution medium and format

  • Expected delivery date

  • Interprogram dependency

  • Key messages (usually two or three key statements)

  • Marketing budget

  • Measurement standards

  • Project name (not the internal code name)

  • Project Manager name

  • Release timing

  • Target audience

  • Timeline dependencies

  • Value proposition
