10.18 Having “Just Enough” Process

It is important to have the project tailored to the point that everyone involved is comfortable with the decisions made. The tailoring process is generally accomplished by a project Core Team. This team’s role, based on its cross-functional representation of the various business units, is to determine just how much work is required and whether the benefits of doing the project are worth effort and money spent. In Chapter 2, we presented the Project Framework Rules Document as a tool to satisfy this purpose. The reader is encouraged to download and use the PFRD from the software package that accompanies this book.
