Kerberos –
A security system that authenticates users but doesn’t provide authorization to services or databases, although it does establish identity at log-on.
Keyword –
In database management, a keyword is an index entry that identifies a specific record or document. In programming, keywords (sometimes called reserved names) can be commands or parameters, which are reserved by a program because they have special meaning. On the World Wide Web keywords are the terms that you enter into the search field of a search engine or directory.
Knowledge base –
As used in this book, a knowledge base is a database that contains common questions and the answers to those questions. Although a knowledge base sounds a lot like a FAQ section on a website, its a bit more than that — a knowledge base usually is searchable, and often offers special options to make it more useful to users, such as natural language searching, options to add searchable keywords that don’t appear in the question or answer (but which apply), etc. The Microsoft website’s technical section is built upon knowledge base technology.
