Fuzhou Port is one of the hub ports of China. It is 149 nautical miles to Keelung in Taiwan and 420 nautical miles to Hong Kong. There are 50 berths, including 13 deep-water berths over 10,000 tonnes. The sea routes extend to all major ports in China and to over 40 countries and regions around the world including Europe, America, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand. Railway transportation continues to play an important role. Ten trains go to Beijing and Shanghai daily. A regional highway network has been formed which radiates to all counties of the Fujian province . Air services offer connections with all major centres of the country and some international cities. Fuzhou has an international-standard telecommunications system.
