Qingdao is abundant in agricultural , aquatic and mineral resources. It has 7.52 million mu cultivated land, and 1.86 million mu forest land. The main aquatic products include salt, shrimp, sea cucumbers, abalone, scallops and seaweed. 30 kinds of mineral have been verified . Natural resources such as gold, graphite, marble, granite and diamond are abundant. The province is China's major production base for cereals, peanuts, cotton, oil- bearing grain, fruit, silk and aquatic products.
