Four trunk railway lines lead to Yunnan, Sichuan, Guangxi and Hunan provinces . There are 2,800 kilometres of navigable inland waterways, of which 1,200 kilometres allow the passage of motorised boats. There are five state highways. Air services link Guiyang with Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming and other cities in China and there is a direct flight to Hong Kong. Several new airports are being planned and built. With exploitable water resources ranking sixth in the country, over one hundred hydroelectric power stations have been or are being built in the province .
