Chongqing is a major trading port on the upper Yangtze River . The Jialing and Minjiang rivers are the two major rivers flowing into the Yangtze. Upon completion of the Three Gorges Dam project, vessels of up to 10,000 tonnes will be able to enter Chongqing's Chaotianmen Port. Chongqing is also a major railway hub in southwest China, with three major railway lines that connect the city with the national railway network and China's major cities and ports. Currently, Chongqing has direct air routes to about 50 domestic and international destinations including Hong Kong, Macao, Bangkok, Munich and Nagoya. The city has mature telecommunication systems.
