The coastal ports in Fujian have a combined annual throughput of over 69 million tonnes. Fuzhou's Mawei, Xiamen's Dongdu and Meizhou Bay are the most important ports, with berths that can accommodate 10,000 to 50,000-tonne class vessels. Xiamen port has opened overseas shipping routes to Europe, America, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Republic of Korea. Passenger trains leave daily for Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other cities. The highway links up all cities in the province. The Changle International Airport in Fuzhou, the Xiamen International Airport and the airport in Wuyishan operate more than 90 domestic and international routes, linking the province with more than 40 domestic cities, as well as Hong Kong, Japan and the Philippines. The province is rich in hydropower resources, estimated at 10 million kilowatts.
