Liaoning has one of the densest railway networks in China. There are 39 trunk railway lines running through it. There are two international airports and four provincial airports.The province has five trading ports “Dalian, Yingkou, Huludao, Dandong and Jinzhou. Dalian is the fourth largest container port in terms of cargo handling tonnage in China. A new port in Panjin is now in operation, located at the Bohai Rim and handling commodities and oil products from the Liaohe Oilfield. Inland water transport is seasonal along the Liaohe and Yalujiang rivers. Liaoning has established one of the most developed electricity-supply networks within the country, which comprise the major part of the electricity-supply network in north-east China. The province has well-developed highways and telecommunications systems.
