All administrative traffic must be secured.
Chief Information Officer The costs for maintaining separate administrators and help desk functionality at each site have continued to soar over the years. We must cut costs by centralizing these functions. The business units fear a loss of service, so we need to make this as functional as possible.
Network Administrator We have DSL connections to the Internet from each location and will need to use the Internet for management. This means that the communications will need to be secure and we are concerned about the potential abuse in the system.
All updates to the web servers must be protected from eavesdropping.
All management activities must be protected from eavesdropping.
The website must require a valid user ID and password before allowing a user access to account information.
All customer information sent to and from the website must be encrypted.
Users will need to know if the help desk is watching their computer.
Network administrators must be able to manage the network from any location.
