In Chapters 9 and 10, we explored several ways of creating dynamic content for Internet and intranet applications. In Chapter 9, we created applications using Active Server Pages, both with and without Microsoft ActiveX controls. In Chapter 10, we used the Internet Server API to create ISAPI extensions. Active Server Pages and ISAPI extensions cover most of what you'll ever need to develop interactive Web-based applications. However, some occasions require just a little more power. ISAPI filters are designed for those occasions.
