The BlackBerry calendar application is the central software component for scheduling events on your device. Events are appointments, meetings, and anything else you might want to keep track of that requires your time. The key thing to understand here is that the calendar is designed to help you manage your time. If an activity can be expressed as a block of time, you can create an appointment in the calendar to help you remember when the activity takes place and how long it lasts. How far you go in scheduling your life in the calendar is up to you, but at the very least, you will find it handy for scheduling important business meetings and appointments you'd like to be reminded of, in which case the calendar will alert you with a reminder.
