30.3 Using SAM to Manage Network Services

   

Some of the network services can be started and stopped using SAM. You can find the Network Services icon in the Networking and Communications area of SAM. When you double-click on this icon, a list of services that can be started or stopped with SAM is displayed, as shown in Figure 30-1. You can see service names and their current status along with a short description. After selecting a service by clicking on it, you can use the Actions menu to change its status.

Some of the services that can be enabled or disabled using this screen area must be configured somewhere else in SAM. For example, the NFS Client must be configured in the Network File Systems area of SAM.
