Even with all its flaws and some maddening experiences, Exchange 2000 is still an extremely good email server. The only pity is that the need to roll out Windows 2000 and the AD has prevented so many people from finding this out. Exchange 2003 is even better. It is a solid, robust, scalable, and reliable email server that is packed full of functionality and supports a huge range of clients from smartphones to Web browsers. The biggest problem I have now is how to tell the story of Exchange 2003. Time to make a start.
