Remote access is a way of using your machine without being at the console. OS X ships with services that allow remote access ”such as telnet , rlogin and ftp ”disabled. Unlike many other flavors of Unix. OS X in its default state is more secure as a result. However, as connectivity becomes more important to you, you may be interested in being able to remotely access your OS X machine. This chapter examines how to do this as securely as possible.
