Handling Optical Media: CDs and DVDsIn the CDs & DVDs pane, shown in Figure 5.60, you choose an insert action for different types of CDs and DVDs. For blank CDs and DVDs, you can set the system to ask you what to do; open the Finder, iTunes, or Disk Utility; open another application; run a script; or simply ignore. By default, a music CD is set to open with iTunes. A picture CD is set to iPhoto by default if iLife is installed; otherwise, it is set to Ignore. A video DVD is set to DVD Player. For these items, you could instead choose another application, run a script or ignore. Figure 5.60. In the CDs & DVDs pane, you can set what action occurs when you insert a CD or DVD. |
